The mission of the Altoona Compassion Coalition as a community-based, volunteer, nonprofit organization, is to provide food and other services to those in need in an efficient, compassionate, and non-judgmental manner. The Altoona Compassion Coalition embodies the spirit and giving nature of the community.

Solis Circle Affordable Housing

The Solis Circle initiative originated from Altoona Mayor Brendan Pratt’s 2018 State of the City priorities which addressed the affordable housing deficiencies in the community. City officials worked with local nonprofit JONAH and builder/developer Cody Filipczak, among other City leaders, volunteers, and nonprofit agencies, to bring the project to fruition.

Solis Circle is a 25-unit complex in a former assisted-living facility that features efficiency, one-, and two-bedroom units. For more information about Solis Circle, please click here.
